Still Films (panorama) >> (2008-2010) is a continuation of Still Films that I´ve been working on since 2006. In this project the approach has been similar, but here I´ve explored the panorama format. Every image consists of many exposures that have been put together digitally to a new image where a new reality have been created.
Still Films >> Still Films is a work in progress that was shown for the first time at Galleri Magnus Karlsson in Stockholm spring 2008. I’ve been, with my camera on a tripod, photographing the same scene many times under a longer period of time. Later I’ve been using a computer to put different parts of the pictures together to a new picture that places itself somewhere between documentary and staged photography.
From Darkness >> (2002) The people that I portray in this series have been sitting alone by themselves in total darkness and haven’t been aware of when the picture will be taken and the flash would lighten up their face. In traditional photography portraiture there is a romantic impression that the photographer should capture the true personality of the person in front of him in one single picture. Here the starting point is the opposite.
MACHINE >> (2002) MACHINE is a collaboration between me and the artist Marcus Hansson. The installation is a construction built in the gallery room. The visitors enters and experiences the piece alone. Machine gives the wiever a unique, individual visual expirience during a limited time and explores fields in the periphery of photography.
Work in Progress >> (1999-2009) started on the eight of February 1999 and was completed on the same date 2009. Everyday when I came to my studio I took a self-portrait with a digital camera. I linked that days picture to the picture from the day before. I made a moving film from the stills I took. After ten years I have a film that is a little longer than halph an hour, where I am ten years older in the last frame than in the first.
Bless You >> (1999) I invited a number of persons to my studio. They were given a mission to, alone in a room, sneeze in front of a recording video camera. To sneeze is something trivial that everybody does, but at the same time a violent and dramatic reaction where we totally looses control. The video piece, Bless You, is a series of portraits of people under influence. We can follow the portrayers struggle in front of the camera; their agony, stamina and in some cases pride and happiness.

Mobil >> (1998) is a video in which the sound is central. I've listened to the cellular telephone-net with a sound scanner. From the conversations, I've made a collage where the voices intertwine in each other, everyday trivialities are put side by side with choices of vital importance. To the sound collage is a never ending stream of people standing in a escalator presented.

In the video Station >> (1997) I've been filming people waiting on a railway station. I did put up my tripod about 4 meters in front of them without asking for their permission. The parts where there is a intensive contact between the camera and the filmed person have been used in the video.

Pictures of a Family >> (1996) is a photographical work where I followed a childhood friend and his family like a paparazzi. A contract was written where I was given permission to sneak on them and take pictures of them for a year.
